The game, held in Sanford Stadium, ended with a score of 43-35 in favor of Georgia. Despite this setback, Ole Miss holds a 6-1 record so far this season, which many consider surprising given the team’s heavy losses to the NFL.
Kewan Lacy’s Impact on Ole Miss
A key factor in the Rebels’ strong start has been the performance of running back Kewan Lacy. Lacy, a transfer from Missouri, has emerged as a vital component of the team’s offense. He has rushed for 618 yards with an average of 4.5 yards per carry. This impressive performance ranks him third in the SEC for total rushing yards.
In addition to his yardage, Lacy has scored 10 touchdowns this season, tying him for third nationally through the first seven games. His ability to break tackles has also been noteworthy, as he has successfully evaded 49 missed tackles thus far.
