Video Mourinho and Benfica Squad Cast Votes at Seixal House
A voting event took place at the Casa do Benfica in Seixal this Saturday morning. The Benfica squad, led by their coach José Mourinho, arrived around 10:30 AM. The team was transported in nine-seater vans from the Benfica Campus.
Benfica’s Voting Process
José Mourinho was the first to cast his vote, setting the tone for the day. He was followed by multiple players including:
- Pavlidis
- António Silva
- Tomás Araújo
- Samuel Soares
- Leandro Barreiro
- Henrique Araújo
- João Rego
- Aursnes
A second group comprised of notable players like Otamendi and Trubin voted later in the day.
High Voter Turnout Expected
As of 10:30 AM, over 7,572 members had already participated in the elections. This encouraging turnout hints at a potential record, especially considering the club’s current membership stands at around 41,000. For context, four years ago, when Rui Costa was elected, the level of engagement was notably lower.
Election Details
The electoral process is set for the 2025-2029 term, beginning at 8:30 AM and concluding at 10:00 PM. Members in line at the closing time will still have the opportunity to vote.
