IHSAA Announces Iowa High School Football Round of 16 Playoff Matchups

The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) has officially announced the round of 16 playoff matchups for high school football in Iowa. After a competitive regular season, classes 5A, 4A, and 3A concluded their games, revealing the qualifying teams for the playoffs. The playoffs are now narrowed down from 32 teams per class to just 16.

IHSAA Playoff Matchups Released

On October 25, the IHSAA revealed the playoff brackets for this season. The playoff structure places teams into pods of four, with the top team from each pod advancing to the UNI-Dome for the semifinals and finals. The games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 31.
