Special Forces Preview: Kody Ignores Gia and Brianna in Challenge
Kody Brown is determined to excel in the reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. However, his approach is causing friction with teammates Gia Giudice and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. In a recently shared sneak peek, Kody, 56, partners with Gia, 24, and Brianna, 26, yet chooses to disregard their input during a critical challenge.
Kody Brown’s Challenge Dynamics
During the episode airing on October 23, Kody is seen ignoring pleas from Gia to adjust his pace. While Gia urges him to “slow down,” Kody insists that they follow his lead, which has left both teammates frustrated. He describes himself as having an “intense personality” and admits to being “the loud, obnoxious type.”
The clip also features Gia and Brianna trying to encourage Kody to remain “calm and collected.” Whether Kody heeds their advice is uncertain, as he has demonstrated a competitive nature throughout the fourth season of this Fox series.

Physical and Mental Struggles
Kody has candidly shared the difficulties he faced while filming the show. He recalled an instance where he struggled to perform monkey bars, saying, “I had sand on my hands, and I couldn’t cup the monkey bars.” He expressed uncertainty about what he had signed up for, mentioning a moment where he was submerged in cold water: “I started to shiver. I don’t want the DS to see that.”
To conceal any signs of weakness, he resorted to artificially wheezing to give the impression he was working hard. Kody reassured viewers of his capabilities, stating, “I knew that my limits physically were never reached. I had more to give physically.”
Support from Home
Despite the challenges, Kody finds solace in the support of his wife, Robyn Brown. He humorously recounted their conversation about him joining the show: “When they called me, my wife said, ‘We’re going to have to discuss this.’ One month went by, and we never discussed it.” Ultimately, Robyn knew he was determined to participate.
Kody reflected on the challenge saying, “Maybe going was stupid, but it’s the kind of challenge that you almost relish.” He emphasized the need for a purpose to regain physical fitness, viewing the experience as almost spiritual.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test airs on Fox Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET, offering viewers a glimpse into the physical and emotional limits of its contestants.
