On Saturday, October 25, 2025, downtown San Antonio will host several major events, including Muertos Fest and a concert by Paul McCartney at the Alamodome. With thousands of attendees expected, planning ahead will ensure a smooth experience for both residents and visitors.

Given the anticipated heavy traffic, especially near the Alamodome and along I-37/US 281, early arrival is recommended. To facilitate transportation, VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide free Park & Ride services for these events.
Free Park & Ride Service
On October 25, VIA’s Park & Ride service will operate from 3 p.m. to midnight, offering free rides to Robert Thompson Transit Station, conveniently located next to the Alamodome. The following collection points will serve commuters:

- Brooks Transit Center (3026 Sidney Brooks Drive, 78235)
- Frost Bank Center Lots 6 & 7 (3205 E. Houston St., 78219)
The event coincides with Make A Difference Day, prompting VIA to offer fare-free service across its entire transit system.
Rideshare Options
Rideshare services will also be available for convenient transport to the events. Attendees can utilize the designated drop-off and pick-up location at Alamodome Lot D, situated on the west side of I-37/US 281.
For those preferring rideshare to the Frost Bank Center, direct connections to VIA’s Park & Ride service will simplify transit.
Parking Information
The City’s SAPark website provides a helpful map of city-owned garages and lots, where event rates (maximum $15) will be in effect from October 24 through October 26. Numerous privately operated parking facilities are also available downtown, offering ample paid parking spaces.
