Graham Harrell Joins Tech Ring of Honor This Saturday

Graham Harrell, the famed quarterback and current offensive coordinator at Abilene Christian University (ACU), will be honored this Saturday as he is inducted into the Texas Tech Ring of Honor. The ceremony will take place at halftime during the Red Raiders’ game against Oklahoma State, slated for 3 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

Graham Harrell’s Legacy

Harrell, who played for Texas Tech from 2006 to 2008, achieved remarkable success during his collegiate career. He passed for nearly 16,000 yards and led the Red Raiders to a second-place national ranking. Among his memorable moments, he threw a game-winning touchdown to Michael Crabtree against Texas in a nail-biting finish.

Acknowledgments and Achievements

  • Harrell won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2007, recognizing him as a top quarterback.
  • He threw for 5,705 yards during his junior year.
  • As a senior in 2008, he was named the AT&T All-America Player of the Year and a Co-Player of the Year by Sporting News.
