Passengers Stranded for 30 Minutes as Flight Doors Jam

On a recent flight from Mumbai to Kanpur, passengers faced an unexpected situation upon landing. The Indigo airplane landed at Chakeri Airport at 3:58 PM but encountered a technical issue that left passengers stranded inside the aircraft.

Flight Doors Jam Causes Delay

Passengers were unable to disembark for approximately 30 minutes due to jammed exit doors. This delay surprised many who were ready to exit after the flight. Indigo’s Kanpur manager, Pankaj Pandey, explained that the aircraft’s engine needed time to cool down before the doors could be safely opened.

Technical Insights

Pandey stated that the doors could not be unlocked until the engine temperature dropped to a safe level. After around 20 minutes, the engine cooled sufficiently, allowing passengers to exit the aircraft without any incident.
