During a conversation with Variety’s Marc Malkin, Hauser revealed, “I really want Sam Rockwell to play Lorne Michaels, which I don’t think I’ve told anyone yet.” He enthusiastically addressed Rockwell directly, saying, “Sam Rockwell, please play Lorne Michaels in my Chris Farley movie.” Hauser added a personal touch, promising to entertain Rockwell with his Farley impressions throughout the filming.
