Earlier this week, Skattebo received a $15,000 fine for conduct considered detrimental to the league. The incident occurred when he entered the team’s medical tent to check on his teammate, quarterback Jaxson Dart, after he was injured during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dart had taken a hard hit and was being evaluated for a possible concussion.
Skattebo remarked on the situation, emphasizing the importance of following safety protocols. “I knew going over there I needed to calm down a little bit. When I was in there, he was a little fired up, but we know we have to go through protocol to make sure we can get back on the field,” he stated.

A few days following the initial fine, Skattebo was penalized again, this time with a $6,157 fine for unnecessary roughness that took place during the Giants’ narrow 33-32 defeat to the Denver Broncos.
