A Lufthansa flight bound for Germany was diverted to Logan International Airport in Boston following an alarming incident involving an Indian national. Praneeth Kumar Usiripalla, a 28-year-old man, is accused of stabbing two minors with a metal fork while in transit.

The alleged attack occurred on Saturday, October 25. According to charging documents, Usiripalla first stabbed a 17-year-old boy in the shoulder. Shortly after, he reportedly stabbed another 17-year-old boy in the back of the head with the same fork.

One of the victims stated he was asleep when he was awakened to find Usiripalla standing over him. The Boeing aircraft’s crew attempted to control the situation as panic ensued.
