Bunnings has unveiled a new attraction just in time for Halloween. Located in Alexandria, Sydney, this location has launched its first “scarehouse,” aiming to enhance the spooky experience for visitors.

The Halloween pop-up is designed to thrill attendees with four uniquely themed rooms. These include:

Event Details and Attendance Expectations

The scarehouse will operate from October 28 to October 30, opening daily from 5 PM to 7 PM. Bunnings Chief Operating Officer Ryan Baker expressed excitement about providing a safe space for families. “We want to celebrate spooky season responsibly,” he stated.

Last year, over 57,000 attendees participated in Bunnings’ Halloween family nights. This year, they anticipate even greater attendance as Halloween grows in popularity. Reports suggest that one in five Australians are planning Halloween celebrations this year, with 75% incorporating children into their festivities.

Addressing Safety Concerns

Despite the enthusiasm, safety remains a concern. Research shows that one in four potential celebrants cite safety fears as a reason for not participating in traditional activities like trick-or-treating. Common concerns include stranger danger and traffic risks.

Expanding the Halloween Range

Bunnings has significantly expanded its Halloween range in recent years. Mr. Baker noted that the assortment has tripled since 2023. Customers can find an array of items such as:

• Disney inflatables
• Traditional pumpkins and lanterns
• Creepy crawlers

Lighting products, such as solar stake lights and string lights, have risen in popularity among Halloween shoppers, contributing to the store’s festive atmosphere.
