The EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival celebrates emerging cinematographers through its debut competition, launched in 2010. This year, seven films are competing for recognition.

The Polish Filmmakers Association serves as the patron for this esteemed debut competition. In addition to the debut films, organizers have unveiled the first three titles for the main competition:
- Franz Kafka – Directed by Agnieszka Holland, Cinematography by Tomasz Naumiuk
- Hamnet – Directed by Chloé Zhao, Cinematography by Łukasz Żal
- Late Shift – Directed by Petra Biondina Volpe, Cinematography by Judith Kaufmann
Award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary
Renowned documentary director and producer Liz Garbus will be honored with the festival’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary. A retrospective of her works will accompany the award.
Garbus has recently produced notable projects such as “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer,” “One Night in Idaho,” and “Harry & Meghan.” Her accolades include Oscar nominations for “The Farm: Angola, USA” and “What Happened, Miss Simone?” The latter won an Emmy. She also secured an Emmy in 2007 for “Demons of Abu Ghraib” and received nominations for various other significant works.
Event Details
The 33rd EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival is scheduled from November 15 to 22 in Toruń, Poland. The Polish Press Agency is a media patron of this notable event.
