Data Security Incident Details
On January 13, 2025, Conduent discovered it had experienced a cyber incident affecting parts of its network. This incident occurred between October 21, 2024, and January 13, 2025. An unauthorized third party accessed Conduent’s systems, which led to the exposure of some Premera Blue Cross member information.
Information Compromised
The impacted files contained personal information that may include:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Treatment or diagnosis descriptions and codes
- Treatment costs
- Admission and discharge dates
- Member identification numbers
- Claim numbers
Not all data elements were present for every individual affected by this incident. Currently, Conduent has no evidence of any misuse of the compromised information.
Response Measures
Following the discovery of the breach, Conduent took immediate action to secure its network while cooperating with third-party forensic experts for a thorough investigation. Law enforcement authorities were also notified of the incident.
Communication with Affected Individuals
Conduent is mailing letters to individuals whose information was part of the affected files. These communications include offers for complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services for two years.
