Ryan Lee Whitney, a beloved resident of Plainwell, passed away on October 28, 2025. A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ryan was born on July 24, 1981. He was the son of Rebecca Presti and Ronald Whitney and grew up in Kalamazoo, graduating high school in 1999.

In 2005, Ryan met Ivy through a mutual friend, and they quickly connected. They married on July 7, 2007, at Blanch Hall Park. The couple initially resided in Kalamazoo before moving to Plainwell in 2013. Together, they built a life filled with love and family.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, November 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes, located at 120 South Woodhams Street, Plainwell, MI. Family and friends are invited to share memories at 2:30 p.m. Following his wishes, cremation has occurred, and a private interment at Hillside Cemetery is planned for a later date.
