Alexandra Daddario Discusses Wonder Woman Casting; Zack Snyder Reveals New Batman Photo

DC Studios has confirmed its Superman, but the casting for Batman and Wonder Woman remains unfinalized, leaving the iconic Trinity incomplete. Supergirl writer Ana Nogueira is on board to script the next Wonder Woman movie, although the lead role has yet to be cast.
Alexandra Daddario’s Thoughts on Wonder Woman Casting
Actress Alexandra Daddario, known for her role in True Detective, has been frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for Wonder Woman. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Daddario discussed the notion of being cast as the Amazonian heroine.
When asked about fan art depicting her as Wonder Woman, she admitted, “I haven’t seen any of that [fan art]. I’m flattered to hear that it’s happening, but I haven’t seen it.” She expressed her enthusiasm for possibly collaborating with acclaimed director James Gunn, but noted her lack of awareness regarding any ongoing casting discussions.
At 39 years old, Daddario may not fit the typical age range DC Studios prefers for this iconic character. However, with certain characters in the upcoming roster skewing older, she remains a speculative choice for the role.
Zack Snyder Reveals New Batman Photo
Recently, director Zack Snyder made headlines by joining Instagram and sharing previously unseen images from the DCEU. His latest post features Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman, accompanied by a caption that reads, “In the portrait studio I built for Justice League, I captured this moment with Ben. No question—this man is Batman.” This statement resonates with many fans who feel Affleck’s portrayal has been underrated.
The evolution of Batman’s character has seen shifts, especially after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The portrayal in Joss Whedon’s Justice League deviated from the darker origins, while plans for an extensive storyline centered around Affleck were halted following the formation of DC Studios.
