National Police Deploys 650 Officers for Olimpia vs Alajuelense Match Security

Tegucigalpa, Honduras, will host an international football match between Honduras’ Olimpia and Costa Rica’s Alajuelense. This event is part of the final round of the Concacaf tournament. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, the National Police of Honduras will deploy 650 officers on October 30, 2025.

Security Measures for the Match

The police presence will start at 3:00 PM. Officers will oversee both the interior and exterior of the Estadio Nacional. They will be organized into five security rings to maintain order during the match.

Avoiding Incidents

The security measures aim to prevent any potential incidents. Fans are encouraged to enjoy the event with peace of mind. To streamline entry, there will be a registration period for vendors and business booths between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.

Stadium Access

  • The stadium gates will open for general admission at 5:00 PM.
  • Over 19,000 tickets have already been sold, indicating a large crowd.
  • To manage traffic, surrounding roads will close from 3:00 PM.

Traffic Management

Authorities will restrict access to about one kilometer around the Chelato Uclés Sports Complex. This measure aims to facilitate safe pedestrian and vehicle movement.

Prohibited Items

To ensure safety, the following items are banned from the venue:

  • Explosive materials
  • Sharp weapons
  • Flags and banners
  • Laser pointers
  • Glass and plastic bottles
  • Any object that could threaten the safety of attendees

In addition, fans will be allowed entry to the Sol Centro stands. Attendees are encouraged to comply with these regulations for a secure and enjoyable match day.
