Chris Witaske has been named the Grand Marshal for the 2025 St. Charles Electric Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, November 29, in downtown St. Charles. This festive event is part of the St. Charles Holiday Homecoming, a two-day celebration starting on Friday, November 28, with the Lighting of the Lights Ceremony.

About Chris Witaske

A native of St. Charles, Witaske graduated from St. Charles East High School in 2001. He pursued his passion for acting by studying Theater Arts at the University of Iowa. After his studies, he moved to Chicago, where he performed at various comedy venues, including the renowned Second City Theater.

Television Career

Witaske made his television debut in 2013 on Fox’s “New Girl.” His acting career continued to flourish with roles in several notable series:

  • HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm”
  • Netflix’s “Love”
  • Emmy-winning FX series “The Bear”

Additionally, he is well-known for his appearances in the “Turning into Your Parents” commercials for Progressive Insurance. Witaske also co-created the animated series “Chicago Party Aunt,” available on Netflix.
