Jon Bon Jovi, now 63 years old, revealed that Thin Lizzy’s music played a significant role in shaping his songwriting abilities. He noted, “They made storytelling fun,” emphasizing the impact the band had during a formative period in his life.

Bon Jovi recounted how learning Thin Lizzy songs, particularly “The Boys are Back in Town,” taught him essential musical skills. He stated, “Instead of a guitar teacher teaching you simple scales, this guitar teacher took out the sheet music and said: ‘Watch this,’ and I was like ‘there was a magic potion’.” This experience contributed to his development as a composer.
