Natick MA Veterans’ Storywalk Showcases Over 150 Local Narratives

In Natick, Massachusetts, a unique community exhibit is set to honor local veterans. The Morse Institute Library is hosting its second annual Veterans’ Storywalk. This display will feature over 150 narratives that celebrate the lives of veterans, running from November 5 to November 13.

Veterans’ Storywalk Details

The Storywalk will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 5, from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The sidewalks of Natick Common will display informative signs, allowing visitors to engage with oral histories compiled by the library’s Veterans Oral History Project over the past 28 years. This initiative has successfully preserved the accounts of more than 350 veterans.

Community Reflection

Library director Mikaela Wolfe expressed gratitude towards the veterans who have shared their experiences. “Their voices enrich our community’s understanding of military history and public service,” she stated. This exhibit serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by many for their country.
