Natick Hosts Veterans Day 2025 Events

On November 11, Natick will honor its military veterans with a series of events for Veterans Day 2025. This annual observance is dedicated to recognizing the sacrifices and dedication of those who have served in the armed forces.

Veterans Day Events in Natick

Veterans Story Walk

From November 5 to November 13, the public can explore the 2nd Annual Veterans Story Walk at Natick Common. This event features over 155 stories from local veterans, showcasing their diverse experiences and contributions.

  • Opening Ceremony: Ribbon Cutting on November 5 at 1 PM

Each sign along the walk links to an oral history of a veteran, made possible through the Morse Institute Library’s Veterans Oral History Project. Library Director Miki Wolfe expressed gratitude for the veterans’ contributions to the community’s understanding of military history.

Readings in Natick Public Schools

Volunteers will participate in Veterans Day readings on November 5 or 6 from 10 AM to 11 AM. This initiative aims to teach students about the significance of Veterans Day. Interested volunteers must undergo a CORI check.

Veterans Breakfast

A breakfast for veterans will take place on November 7, from 8 AM to 10:30 AM at Kennedy Middle School, located at 165 Mill St. Eighth graders will serve breakfast and share stories with local veterans, co-sponsored by several local organizations.

Veterans Day Parade

The Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for November 11. It will start forming at 8:30 AM behind the Police and Fire Departments on East Central Street, kicking off at 9 AM. The parade will feature various local groups, including police and fire departments, veterans organizations, and school bands.

The ceremony will conclude with “Taps,” the National Anthem, and remarks from Veteran Services Director Paul Carew.

Veterans Lunch

After the parade, a lunch will be held at the Community-Senior Center from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. This gathering is sponsored by the Charles River Rotary Club and other local services supporting veterans.

Veterans Day Office Closures

On November 11, several town facilities will close in observance of Veterans Day:

  • Natick Town Hall: Closed
  • Natick Public Schools: Closed
  • Morse Institute and Bacon Free Libraries: Closed
  • Mail Services: No regular residential service

Regular business hours will resume on November 12 for all departments. Residents are encouraged to check department webpages for specific hours.
