Man Utd proposes £44m deal for former Barcelona star while INEOS plans record-breaking bid for Vinicius
Manchester United is actively pursuing major signings ahead of the upcoming transfer windows. The club has recently made a significant offer for Vitor Roque, a former Barcelona forward. According to reports, the Red Devils have proposed around £44 million (€50 million) for the 20-year-old talent.
Manchester United’s Summer Activity
In the current transfer window, Manchester United has focused on rebuilding after a disappointing season where they finished 15th in the Premier League without winning any trophy. The club raised approximately £230 million through key player sales, including:
- Marcus Rashford
- Rasmus Hojlund
- Antony
- Alejandro Garnacho
- Jadon Sancho
This financial maneuvering allowed the club to enhance its roster significantly. New arrivals include:
- Benjamin Sesko
- Bryan Mbeumo
- Matheus Cunha
- Senne Lammens (to replace Andre Onana)
These signings have contributed to United’s successful start to the season, winning three consecutive Premier League matches and climbing to sixth place in the standings.
Vitor Roque: A New Target
Vitor Roque’s journey includes a brief stint at Barcelona, where he faced challenges with club officials. After a loan at Real Betis last season, Roque returned to Brazil, joining Palmeiras in a record deal exceeding £21 million. He has since scored 17 goals in 47 appearances.
Reports indicate that United’s interest in Roque could lead to further negotiations as Palmeiras sets a high price. The club has stated it “will not let him go for less than his true value,” indicating their intent to benefit from his development.
Interest in Vinicius Junior
In a separate development, Manchester United is also linked to Vinicius Junior, a star from Real Madrid. Following a reported fallout with head coach Xabi Alonso, the Red Devils are preparing a staggering bid of around £175 million (€200 million).
This proposed deal could prompt Real Madrid to reconsider their position. Although sources indicate Vinicius is not for sale below his release clause, such a substantial offer may spark serious negotiations regarding his future.
As Manchester United continues to solidify its roster, these potential signings highlight the club’s ambitions to regain its position as a powerhouse in European football.
