Griselda Saucedo, the parish secretary, noted the unprecedented turnout of volunteers to assist those impacted. “We have extra volunteers here to help with questions and provide support during this tough time,” she stated. By mid-morning, the pantry saw a noticeable increase in visitors. One of the individuals seeking help was James Brogan, who turned to the St. Andrew pantry after losing his job. He began receiving food stamps and found relief in the food supplied by the pantry.

“I just started a new job this week and hope to stabilize my finances,” Brogan shared. He collected basic necessities, such as ground beef, vegetables, and canned goods to help him during this transition.
