CIF Southern Section 2025 High School Football Playoff Brackets Announced
The CIF Southern Section has announced the 2025 High School Football Playoff Brackets, marking the start of the postseason. The competition includes 14 divisions, with eight teams advancing in the prestigious Division 1 bracket, led by top seed St. John Bosco.
Division 1 Matchups
Despite a recent loss to Mater Dei, St. John Bosco remains the number one seed. All teams in this division receive a bye for the first round scheduled on November 7. The matchups for the quarterfinals are:
- No. 1 St. John Bosco vs. No. 8 Orange Lutheran
- No. 2 Corona Centennial vs. No. 7 Servite
- No. 3 Mater Dei vs. No. 6 Mission Viejo
- No. 4 Sierra Canyon vs. No. 5 Santa Margarita
Mater Dei enters the playoffs as the defending Division 1 champion.
Division 2 Highlights
In Division 2, Murrieta Valley holds the number one seed for the second consecutive year, following last season’s loss to Newbury Park in the finals. This year, Murrieta Valley will host Corona del Mar. The matchups in Division 2 include:

Division 3 Matchups
Bishop Amat, coached by rookie Kory Minor, is one of the leading teams in Division 3, along with Capistrano Valley. The matchups for Division 3 are as follows:

- Laguna Beach at Notre Dame Sherman Oaks
