Janice McNair is set to be honored as she is inducted into the Texans’ Ring of Honor. The ceremony takes place at halftime during a game against the Denver Broncos at NRG Stadium. This event on Sunday celebrates her impactful legacy as co-founder and senior chair of the Houston Texans.
Honoring a Remarkable Legacy
Janice McNair is the fourth individual to join the Texans’ Ring of Honor. She will be honored alongside notable figures such as her late husband Bob McNair, Hall of Fame wide receiver Andre Johnson, and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt.
Cal McNair, principal owner and CEO of the Texans, expressed his admiration: “My parents brought football back to Houston more than 20 years ago. My mom has given so much to our city and our organization. There is no one more deserving than mom.” He emphasized how proud Bob McNair would be of this significant recognition.

Since moving to Houston in 1960, Janice and Bob McNair have been instrumental in community leadership. They have a longstanding legacy of philanthropy, particularly through the Texans’ charitable foundation, established in 2002. Under her guidance, this foundation has raised over $50 million to support local initiatives.
