UAE Flag Garden Returns to Dubai’s Kite Beach

Dubai’s Kite Beach is hosting the UAE Flag Garden, a stunning installation honoring the nation’s heritage. Scheduled to open on November 3, 2025, the garden will be accessible to the public until January 10, 2026. This year, the event coincides with UAE Flag Day, celebrated annually on the same date.

UAE Flag Garden Overview

Located at Umm Suqeim Beach, adjacent to the iconic Burj Al Arab, the UAE Flag Garden features over 11,500 flags. These flags are meticulously arranged to create a tribute to the Founding Fathers of the UAE: Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The installation is designed to be appreciated from above, where it vividly resembles the faces of these revered leaders.

Celebrating UAE Flag Day

UAE Flag Day commemorates the anniversary of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s presidency, which began in 2004. The event was initiated as a national campaign in 2013 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This celebration honors the UAE’s legacy and fosters a sense of unity among residents.

The Significance of the UAE Flag

The UAE flag consists of four distinct colors, each representing critical values of the nation:

  • Red: Symbolizes the sacrifices of the country’s ancestors.
  • Green: Represents growth, prosperity, and cultural renaissance.
  • White: Signifies the UAE’s charitable efforts and commitment to peace.
  • Black: Reflects strength and determination.

Every year, local residents capture and share their experiences while exploring the vibrant flag-filled landscape. Alongside the flags, designated viewing points allow visitors to take in the impressive sight from different angles.

As this beloved tradition returns, the UAE Flag Garden at Kite Beach continues to celebrate the spirit and vision of the founders of the United Arab Emirates. The installation is not only a visual marvel but also a profound reminder of the values that unite the nation.
