Phil Rosenthal Set to Perform at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre Nov. 7
Phil Rosenthal, a Rockland native, will perform at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on November 7. This event is the 30th stop of his Fall 2025 tour, which began in August in Monterey, California. Rosenthal is widely recognized as the showrunner and executive producer of the iconic sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He is also the host of the travel and food show “Somebody Feed Phil.”
Event Highlights
During each stop of his tour, Rosenthal engages with a different moderator before opening the floor to audience questions. For the Westchester performance, actress and food blogger Alissa Salvatore will moderate the event. Given Rosenthal’s strong ties to the area—he graduated from Clarkstown North High School—local fans are especially eager to hear his stories in this interactive format.
Upcoming Projects
- New Restaurant: Rosenthal’s upcoming restaurant, Max and Helen’s, will open in Los Angeles. It is named in honor of his parents, longtime residents of New City.
 - Cookbook Release: His new cookbook, “Phil’s Favorites,” will be released on November 4, further fueling excitement among his followers.

Engaging Audience Interactions
In a recent interview, Rosenthal shared insights about audience engagement. He humorously noted that many fans ask how he manages his weight while enjoying delicious food. He invites attendees to come to the show for the answer.
Spontaneous interactions are a highlight of his performances. Rosenthal recalled a touching moment when a six-year-old asked about his favorite color. After he replied “blue,” the child simply thanked him—a reflection of the genuine connections he builds with his audience.
Food and Travel Stories
Food plays a significant role in his storytelling. He shared a memorable experience from Dubai, where he tasted an incredible burger crafted by a Syrian chef striving to perfect the American cheeseburger. When off-camera, Rosenthal prefers simpler meals like hot dogs and yogurt with fruit. He notes that while he is not a chef, his cookbooks showcase recipes from talented chefs, making them special to him.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on his upbringing, Rosenthal mentioned the best advice he received from his parents: to have a backup plan while pursuing a career in the arts. Although he humorously admits he didn’t follow this advice, it shaped his perspective on life.
As Rosenthal looks toward the future, he hopes “Somebody Feed Phil” inspires young people to travel. He believes that experiencing diverse cultures through food and humor is crucial for personal growth. As anticipation grows for his Westchester performance, Rosenthal continues to captivate and entertain audiences with his unique blend of humor and culinary exploration.
