Bonnies Face Bradley in 2025-26 Season Opener during Field of 68 Marathon
St. Bonaventure’s men’s basketball team is set to kick off the 2025-26 season with an exciting matchup against Bradley. This game will take place on November 3, as part of the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon at the Rock Hill Events Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. ET and will be available for streaming on the Field of 68’s YouTube channel and X (formerly Twitter).
Bonnies vs. Braves: A Historic Rivalry
This season opener marks the first meeting between St. Bonaventure and Bradley in over 50 years. The last encounter resulted in a narrow victory for Bradley, who won 79-77 on December 30, 1972, during the Charlotte Invitational.

Scouting Bradley
Bradley finished last season with 28 wins, their best result since the 1985-86 season. They stood out as the nation’s most efficient three-point shooting team, making 39.8 percent of their attempts. Key players of the previous season, Duke Deen and Christian Davis, have now graduated, leaving Bradley with only six returning players and just 26.8 percent of their scoring from last year.
Roster Changes for St. Bonaventure
The Bonnies are also experiencing significant roster adjustments, welcoming 11 new players this season. Among these newcomers, seven transferred from various NCAA divisions, including the Big Ten and MAC. Additionally, four freshmen join St. Bonaventure, all from overseas:

- John Ikpotokin (Dublin, Ireland)
- Achille Lonati (Pavia, Italy)
- Andrew Osasuyi (Magenta, Italy)
Interestingly, Lonati and Osasuyi, born just 13 months apart in the same hospital, will make history as the first pair of Italian teammates in Division I men’s basketball since 2016.
