Landslide Strikes Sipalay City Causing Minor Disruptions
                                A minor landslide occurred at Camp Valdez, Barangay Mambaroto, in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental. The event was triggered by a 5.5 magnitude earthquake that affected the nearby town of Candoni on November 3. The earthquake was felt in Sipalay at an Intensity III level.
Landslide Details
According to Dionilo Bogtae, the coordinator for Sipalay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management, heavy rains likely contributed to the landslide. Trees fell onto part of the highway due to the landslide but were quickly removed. Currently, the road remains passable; however, traffic is limited to one vehicle at a time in the impacted area.
