Fifteen minutes later, a man was spotted at a barbershop located in the Fletton area. Although this sighting was reported to the Cambridgeshire police two hours later, police were unable to respond immediately, as the suspect had already left the scene.

The following morning, at around 9:25 AM, a second report of a knifeman emerged from the same barbershop. Officers were dispatched and arrived within 18 minutes, but they were unable to locate the individual.
