‘The Voice’ Season 28 Shifts Tonight’s Schedule: Here’s Why

Tonight marks a significant change for fans of “The Voice.” The popular singing competition, now in its 28th season, will adjust its schedule, airing only one hour for the next two weeks.

The Voice Season 28 Schedule Changes Explained

Originally, “The Voice” aired two episodes a week, offering viewers two hours of entertainment on Mondays and an hour on Tuesdays. This format commenced in September. However, due to scheduling conflicts with NBA basketball, the Tuesday episode was removed early in the season.

One Hour Episodes for Two Weeks

  • Effective Nov. 3: The Voice will air from 9-10 p.m. ET.
  • Only one hour will be offered per week for the episodes on Nov. 3 and Nov. 10.
  • Preceding “The Voice” on Nov. 3 will be two back-to-back episodes of St. Dennis Medical.
  • On Nov. 10, episodes of St. Dennis Medical and The Paper will air before “The Voice.”

Following “The Voice,” viewers can enjoy a new episode of “Brilliant Minds.” Despite these changes, NBA basketball will continue to air during the time slot that was previously occupied by “The Voice” on Tuesdays.

Current Competition Structure

“The Voice” is currently in the Knockout Round. At this point, each coach has eight contestants in their team. Coaches pair their singers and evaluate their performances, but only one contestant from each duo will advance. No steals or saves are available during this round.

Exciting New Features for Fans

This year introduces a unique element. Each coach has a “Mic Drop Button,” which they can press once per round. This allows them to reward an exceptional performance with special recognition.

Following this round, America will vote on contestants seeking a performance slot at the prestigious Rose Parade, set for January 1, 2026. Ultimately, each coach will select four members to continue on to the Playoffs.

Stay tuned as “The Voice” progresses through this exciting season. With the new schedule in effect, fans are advised to adjust their viewing plans to enjoy the show uninterrupted.
