Pistons Adjust Lineup as Veteran Forward Sits Out Against Grizzlies
The Detroit Pistons face a significant challenge in their upcoming matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. Veteran forward Tobias Harris will sit out due to a right ankle injury, marking his first absence of the season.
Pistons Adjust Lineup Without Tobias Harris
Harris sustained the injury during a recent game against the Dallas Mavericks in Mexico City. Despite returning to finish the match, he will miss the game against the Grizzlies.
During the previous game, Harris played 36 minutes, contributing 11 points and six rebounds. This injury comes after he started the first six games this season, averaging 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 39.4% from the field.
New Starting Lineup
With Harris out, Isaiah Stewart is set to fill one of the forward positions. Stewart will make his first start of the season and is averaging 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game.
Stewart’s starting lineup will also include:
- Cade Cunningham
 - Duncan Robinson
 - Ausar Thompson
 - Jalen Duren

Additional Absences
The Pistons are also missing guards Marcus Sasser and Jaden Ivey for the game. Sasser is dealing with a right hip impingement, while Ivey is recovering from an arthroscopic knee surgery performed on October 16. Neither player has yet made their season debut.
As the Pistons adjust their lineup for the game against the Grizzlies, they will need to rely on the remaining players to step up in Harris’s absence.
