Men’s Basketball Prepares for Thrilling 2025-26 Season
                                The excitement for the 2025-26 Loyola men’s basketball season is building as the team prepares to take the court on November 3. With a roster full of returning talent and promising newcomers, the Greyhounds aim to enhance their performance from the previous season. Under the leadership of Head Coach Josh Loeffler, who is entering his second year, the team is eager to improve on last season’s 12-19 record.
Key Players Returning
A standout player for Loyola is Jacob Theodosiou, who has been named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Theodosiou played all 31 games last season, averaging 13.0 points and leading the league with 54 steals. Having transferred from the University of Wyoming, Theodosiou is focused on his individual goals as well as the team’s objectives for the year.

As the season approaches, the Greyhounds have set ambitious goals, including winning the Patriot League and qualifying for March Madness. “I feel like we’ve got all the pieces to do that,” Theodosiou remarked.
Loeffler is optimistic about the support from their passionate fans and encourages the student body to rally behind the team. “I believe we can have the best student section in the league,” he stated.
The Greyhounds will kick off their season against Towson on November 3 at CFG Bank Arena, and the anticipation is palpable among players and coaches alike.
