In Hopkinton, there will be no local voting on Tuesday, November 4. Despite elections occurring in neighboring areas, Hopkinton’s Town Clerk, Connor Degan, clarified that the town will not hold either municipal or state elections today.

Degan explained that municipal elections are mandated to occur in the spring, while state elections take place only in even-numbered years. City elections occur in the fall during odd-numbered years. He noted, “We just don’t have anything for the odd-numbered years unless there’s a special election.”
