Major Development in Imminent Social Media Ban Unveiled

Objectives of the Social Media Ban

She asserted that there should be no excuse for non-compliance with this new legislation, which will take effect on December 10. A significant fine of $49 million may be levied on companies failing to adhere to these age restrictions.

The current list is subject to change. Wells indicated that assessments are ongoing, suggesting that other platforms, including WhatsApp, Twitch, Roblox, Discord, Lego Play, and Pinterest, may soon be evaluated as well.

Kick is quickly gaining popularity as it competes with more established live-streaming services. The platform offers content creators a superior revenue share and adopts a more lenient stance on content moderation.
