Valdes-Scantling’s NFL Journey
Marquez Valdes-Scantling was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was the 174th overall pick in that selection.
Most recently, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, where he joined the practice squad earlier in the 2025 season. During his brief stint with the 49ers, he participated in five games, recording four receptions for a total of 40 yards. Unfortunately, Valdes-Scantling was placed on the Reserve/Injured List, limiting his impact on the field.
