Milwaukee Tool has issued a recall for nearly 100,000 of its M18 FUEL Top Handle Chainsaws due to a serious safety hazard. Reports indicate that the chain brake may fail to activate, leading to a significant risk of injury.

Recall Details

The recall is focused on model 2826-20, which features either a 12-inch or 14-inch bar. Consumers can identify the affected units by a serial number that has the letter “A” in the fourth position. Approximately 90,860 chainsaws were sold in the U.S. and around 7,500 in Canada.

Incident Reports

Milwaukee Tool has recorded two instances where the chain brake malfunctioned. One of these incidents resulted in a serious injury, specifically a slashed finger.
