CSUN Triumphs Over Bethesda in Season Opener
The CSUN Women’s Basketball team secured an impressive 103-13 victory over Bethesda University in their season opener for the 2025-26 campaign. The game took place at Premier America Credit Union Arena on Tuesday night, marking a dominant start for the Matadors.

CSUN showcased their strength from the beginning, holding Bethesda scoreless through the entire first half. The Matadors established a commanding 52-0 lead by halftime. They shot 44% from the field, made 14 three-pointers, and capitalized on Bethesda’s struggles by forcing 31 turnovers, which resulted in 38 fast-break points.

The 90-point margin of victory represents the largest in CSUN history, surpassing the previous record set on February 3, 1977, when they defeated UC Irvine 113-46. The remarkable performance demonstrated the depth of the team, with 12 different Matadors contributing to the scoring.
