CAF Expands TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to Feature 16 Teams Starting 2026
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant expansion of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Starting in 2026, the tournament will increase its participation from 12 to 16 teams. This change aims to enhance the competitiveness of women’s football across Africa.

- Egypt – Ranked 95th
