Utah Ski Season 2025-2026 Delayed by Unseasonably Warm Weather

Utah’s ski season for 2025-2026 is facing delays due to unexpectedly warm weather conditions. Brian Head Resort initially planned to open on November 7, but due to rising temperatures, they have postponed the start date.

Brian Head Resort’s Opening Delayed

Located in Cedar City, Brian Head Resort boasts the highest base elevation in Utah at 9,000 feet. The planned opening date would have been among the earliest in the resort’s 60-year history. However, weather stations recorded temperatures in the 40s, with lows remaining above freezing.
