Jennifer Lawrence Praises Robert Pattinson’s Professionalism, Rejects Edited Cellulite in ‘Die My Love’

During her promotional tour for “Die My Love,” Jennifer Lawrence shared insights about her filming experience on the “Las Culturistas” podcast. Notably, she discussed working with Robert Pattinson and the film’s intimate scenes.

Jennifer Lawrence on Professionalism and Comfort in ‘Die My Love’

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, “Die My Love” features Lawrence as a mother who struggles with psychosis following childbirth. Pattinson plays her ineffective husband. In discussing their collaboration, Lawrence praised Pattinson’s professionalism and the comfort she felt while filming. She mentioned, “I felt really safe with Rob.”

No Intimacy Coordinator Required

  • Lawrence indicated they did not use an intimacy coordinator for their scenes.
  • She felt they could focus on their personal lives, rather than any on-set awkwardness.
  • Lawrence expressed that Pattinson was respectful and not at all inappropriate.

She openly contrasted this experience with her previous roles, saying, “A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to have sex with them, but he was not like that.”

Nudity While Pregnant and Rejecting Perfection

Lawrence also discussed her comfort with nudity. In “Die My Love,” she filmed certain scenes while pregnant with her second child. This led her to adopt a new attitude towards her body. “I don’t care about nudity. I’m not sensitive about it,” she stated.

Analysing Vanity and Acceptance

Lawrence highlighted the contrast between her experiences in “Die My Love” and her role in “No Hard Feelings.” In “No Hard Feelings,” she had focused intensely on fitness and dietary restrictions to prepare for a full-frontal scene. In “Die My Love,” her pregnancy allowed her to let go of vanity concerns.

  • “Before ‘No Hard Feelings,’ I was dieting and not eating carbs,” she noted.
  • For “Die My Love,” she prioritized her energy over appearance, saying, “I was just tired.”

Her candidness extended to a moment when she rejected suggestions to edit a close-up shot of her cellulite, asserting, “I was like, ‘No. That’s an ass.’”
