The American Athletic Conference has revealed the standout performers from Week 10 of the 2025 football season. These players showcased exceptional skills and led their teams to impressive victories.

Offensive Player of the Week
Owen McCown, a redshirt junior quarterback from UTSA, earned the Offensive Player of the Week title. He played a pivotal role in UTSA’s 48-26 win against Tulane on Thursday night in San Antonio. McCown completed 31 of 33 passes for a total of 370 yards and four touchdowns. His completion rate of 93.9% is tied for the second-highest in conference history and stands as a new record for UTSA.

Defensive Player of the Week
Quinton Hammonds, a sophomore safety from North Texas, was named Defensive Player of the Week. He made four tackles and intercepted two crucial passes in the Mean Green’s 31-17 upset over Navy, who had been undefeated. Hammonds intercepted a critical pass at midfield in the third quarter and another in the end zone during the fourth quarter.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Dawson Jones, a sophomore kicker from Army, secured the Special Teams Player of the Week honor. He kicked a game-winning 27-yard field goal as time expired, leading Army to a 20-17 victory over their rivals, Air Force. Earlier in the game, Jones also made a 44-yard field goal to give Army a lead at halftime.
Honorable Mentions
- Yannick Smith (So., WB, East Carolina): Five receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-14 win against Temple.
- Brendon Lewis (R-Sr., QB, Memphis): Accounted for 312 total yards in a win over Rice, including 225 passing yards and rushing for 87 yards.
- Kamari Wilson (R-Jr., DB, Memphis): Recorded 11 tackles, three tackles for loss, forced a fumble, and recovered one in a 38-14 victory over Rice.
- Caleb Hawkins (Fr., RB, North Texas): Rushed for 197 yards with four rushing touchdowns against Navy.
- David Amador II (R-So., WR, UTSA): Caught 10 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns, also threw a touchdown on a passing attempt.
