Week 10 Fantasy Football Tips: Start J.K. Dobbins, Sit Tyrone Tracy Jr.

As Week 10 of the NFL season approaches, fantasy football players are strategizing their lineups. This week’s focus is on two running backs: J.K. Dobbins of the Denver Broncos and Tyrone Tracy Jr. of the New York Giants.

Start J.K. Dobbins

J.K. Dobbins is emerging as a strong candidate for your fantasy lineup this week. He recorded 15 carries for 61 yards against the Houston Texans in Week 9. As the Broncos prepare to take on the Las Vegas Raiders, Dobbins is positioned well against a weaker defense.

Raiders’ Performance Against RBs

The Raiders have given up the 16th fewest rushing yards per game this season. In PPR fantasy formats, they rank as the 12th least favorable matchup for running backs. Despite a recent trend of limiting RB1s to under 90 rushing yards, several players have found the end zone against them. In their last five games, three RB1s scored touchdowns.

  • Dobbins has four touchdowns this season.
  • He scored a touchdown in each of the first three weeks of the season.
  • In eight out of nine games, Dobbins has received 14 or more carries.

Sit Tyrone Tracy Jr.

On the other hand, Tyrone Tracy Jr. of the New York Giants is not recommended for play this week. In his last game against the San Francisco 49ers, he struggled significantly. Tracy managed just five rushes for 18 yards and three receptions for 19 yards.

Giants’ Situation at RB

In that same matchup, Devin Singletary, the Giants’ RB2, outperformed Tracy with eight carries for 43 yards and played 56% of the snaps, compared to Tracy’s 44%. The Giants are set to face a shaky Chicago Bears run defense next.

  • The Bears are allowing the eighth most rushing yards per game.
  • They have held opposing RB1s under 75 scrimmage yards in three of the last four games.

Given his recent performance and the competition within the Giants’ backfield, Tracy is better left on the bench for now. In contrast, Dobbins remains a reliable option, making him the preferred start in fantasy lineups this week.
