Stay Prepared for Weather Fluctuations Meteorological Authority Reveals Next Week’s Forecast Details
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has provided an update on the upcoming weather forecast, advising the public to remain prepared for fluctuations in weather conditions.
Current Weather Conditions in Egypt
According to Dr. Manar Ghanem from the Meteorological Authority, temperatures have recently seen a slight rise. Current daytime temperatures in Greater Cairo range from 27°C to 28°C, which is 2 to 3 degrees above the seasonal average.
Humidity Levels and Temperature Perceptions
In a televised interview, Dr. Ghanem explained that increased humidity and calm winds add to the sensation of heat. While the days are stable and autumn-like, northern governorates experience warmer temperatures, particularly in Upper Egypt.
Temperature Variations
There is a significant temperature difference between day and night, exceeding 10°C to 12°C. Nights begin mild and turn cooler by late evening and in the early morning hours, resulting in the spread of colds during this period.
Precipitation Forecast
Dr. Ghanem noted that there may be limited chances of light to moderate rain in some coastal regions along the Mediterranean Sea. This may also extend weakly to Southern Egypt and Greater Cairo.
Fog Warnings
- Thick fog is likely in the late night and early morning hours.
- Areas affected include agricultural and main roads near water bodies.
- The fog is expected to dissipate gradually with the sunrise.
The stable weather conditions are projected to last until mid-next week.
Upcoming Weather Trends
Dr. Ghanem previously highlighted noticeable fluctuations in weather patterns during this period. The transition from summer to winter characteristics is typical of the autumn season.
Recent days saw winter-like conditions, but temperatures have returned to a warmer and more moderate state. This variability is a hallmark of autumn.
Future Temperature Expectations
Looking ahead, the second half of autumn is anticipated to bring a gradual decrease in temperature along with more frequent rain chances, especially in coastal and northern regions. These changes are indicative of the upcoming winter season.
