Traffic Regulations for Heavy Trucks

According to municipal order No. 2019-88, specific rules govern the circulation and parking of heavy trucks in Burkina Faso’s capital. The regulations stipulate:

  • Trucks weighing between 3.5 and 10 tons may operate only during the following hours:
    • 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
    • 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
    • 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
  • For vehicles exceeding 10 tons, allowed hours are more limited:
    • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    • 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM
  • Firewood transport is restricted to nighttime hours, specifically from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
