5th PAJE Festival for Youth Art Launched in Burkina Faso
The 5th Edition of the Youth Art Festival (PAJE) commenced on November 5, 2025, at the Théâtre Soleil in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This festival is focused on promoting performing arts among young people, creating an artistic awakening for children.

Educational Impact
Thierry Oueda, director of PAJE and Théâtre Soleil, emphasized the importance of arts in fostering creativity in children. He stated that cultural education helps children develop into informed adults who appreciate and contribute to their culture.
Oueda mentioned, “Children have the right to emotions. Culturally preparing them can lead to future leaders who value their heritage and can support local artists.” He highlighted the vital role of teachers in guiding children through this creative process.

Entry to the festival is reasonably priced at 500 F CFA, making it accessible for families. The initiative received positive feedback from the Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Employment, represented by Modeste Kaboré, who praised the theater as essential for developing children’s creativity.
