The government of Ghana is intensifying its efforts to enhance homegrown Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, reinforcing the importance of local innovation in the nation’s digital transformation. This commitment was highlighted by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, during a meeting with representatives from Dodo Technologies Limited.

Support for Local AI Innovation

During the discussion, key officials from Dodo Technologies briefed the Minister on the upcoming Dodo Summit 2025, scheduled for December 10, 2025, at the UPSA Auditorium. The Minister praised Dodo Technologies for creating indigenous digital tools that effectively address various communication challenges.

Collaboration for Development

Minister George urged Dodo Technologies to collaborate with Emmanuel Ofori, the Ministry’s Director of Innovations. This partnership aims to conduct a technical assessment and explore a pilot project using Dodo’s system within the public sector.
