Pune Police Solve Murder Case Inspired by Drishyam 3 Husband Admits to Killing Wife After Reporting Her Missing

The Pune Police have conclusively solved a murder case that drew inspiration from the film “Drishyam 3.” This dramatic development occurred when Jadhav, the primary suspect, admitted to the murder of his wife after initially reporting her missing.

Investigation Details

Initially, Jadhav’s statements raised alarms among investigators. Senior Police Inspector Vishwajeet Kaingade led the inquiry, which was further overseen by Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam.

Sustained Interrogation Leads to Confession

During rigorous questioning, officers noticed inconsistencies in Jadhav’s account. Their persistence paid off as, under stress, Jadhav confessed to killing his wife due to ongoing personal disputes and suspicions regarding her fidelity.

Formal Proceedings

  • After the confession, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed at the Warje Malwadi Police Station.
  • The case was subsequently transferred to the Rajgad Police Station for a deeper investigation.

Investigation Team and Analysis

The successful breakthrough was the result of collaboration among several officers. This included:

  • Police Inspectors: Vishwajeet Kaingade, Prakash Dhende, and Nilesh Badakh.
  • Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs): Sanjay Narale and Nitin Gaikwad.
  • Police Constables: Ganesh Karche, Sunil Muthe, Yogesh Wagh, Sharad Pol, and Shirish Gawade.

The investigation team effectively revealed how Jadhav attempted to mislead the authorities by fabricating a missing persons report, reminiscent of the tactics depicted in “Drishyam 3.” Police officials commended the team for their diligence in uncovering the truth behind the staged disappearance.
