Bethesda Warns Mod Users as Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition Boosts Gameplay and Adds Features
Bethesda has announced the upcoming release of the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, intended to commemorate the game’s 10th anniversary. This edition will debut on November 10, 2025, across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Players can expect the inclusion of six official expansions and over 150 pieces of Creation Club content.
Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition and Creation Menu Update
The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is designed to enhance gameplay with a new in-game Creations menu. This menu facilitates easy access to user-created content. Players can find and download new content seamlessly on both PC and consoles.
Mod Maintenance and Warnings
Prior to the launch of the Anniversary Edition, Bethesda has issued a warning regarding mods. Maintenance will take place from November 6 to November 10. During this period, Fallout 4 mods and Creation Club will be offline. Players will not be able to download or upload content. However, they can still access their mod load orders and play the game.
Users are advised to disable mods that alter the main menu before the update. Failing to do so may result in these mods breaking with the new patch.
Gameplay and Performance Enhancements
The patch notes reveal significant improvements in gameplay and performance. Key enhancements include:
- VATS Accuracy: Hit chances are now consistent across platforms, eliminating 0% hit chances and incorrect values.
- Targeting Mechanics: It is no longer possible to target enemies through walls without the Penetrator perk.
- Resolution Detection: Improved autodetect feature sets supported display resolutions, preventing launch crashes.
- Ultrawide Support: UI elements and HUD backgrounds now scale properly for 21:9 and 32:9 displays.
Creation Club Content
Fallout 4’s Creation Club content includes unique weapons, power armor, and customized Pip-Boy paint jobs. Bethesda has hinted at upcoming Creations, such as:
- A “slice of the Mojave Desert” experience.
- An escape room scenario.
- A personality simulation feature voiced by the original actors of your in-game spouse.

- Far Harbor
- Automatron
- Nuka-World
- Contraptions
- Vault-Tec
- Wasteland Workshop
The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam, and PC. Additionally, it is planned for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, marking the first entry of Fallout 4 on a Nintendo console.
