The Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA) reported an incident at Dulles International Airport involving a mobile lounge, which is also termed as a “people mover.” This accident occurred on Monday around 4:30 p.m., resulting in injuries to several individuals.

The mobile lounge was transporting passengers to Concourse D when it collided with a dock at an angle. Following the incident, passengers were able to exit the lounge using stairs. Emergency personnel from the Airports Authority were on-site to assess the situation and evaluate the health of the passengers involved.
Injury Count and Response

- However, the total number of those transported to the hospital was later updated to 18.
