Lauren succumbed to injuries sustained in a scooter accident involving a truck near the university on September 27. Despite her long battle, she passed away early Friday morning.

As of October 30, Ashlyn Gwynn is in a “Step Down” unit, receiving intermediate care and therapies. Her family reported a remarkable recovery, noting, “Just one month ago her doctors couldn’t tell us whether she would survive.”
